Student Representative Council

The Student Representative acts as a liaison between Students and the DIAC Management team.

Student representatives play a vital role and are closely linked with teaching and learning; they are an important source of information. They are also the first point of contact for students who have a problem or enquiry about the campus environment in general.

DIAC Student Representatives consist of current Student Members who have expressed an interest in volunteering for this post at their Academic institution with the approval of their University and DIAC Student Hub.

Rewards and Privileges:

There are endless reasons why taking on one of these roles would be a smart move. The main reasons for most students to become involved are:

  1. It looks fantastic on a CV - being in charge of activities and development of facilities representing 18,000 students is impressive.
  2. An opportunity to work in teams, socialise and network informally.
  3. Participate and organise fun and interesting events.
  4. Empowerment to make decisions, guide and change aspects that affect students in improving their quality of student life.
  5. Work experience with dynamic and enthusiastic people.
  6. Benefits include your own office space with a computer, direct telephone line and other support equipment to enrich your office experience.
  7. A reference letter and certificate of appreciation from DIAC Student Hub Management highlighting your responsibilities and credibility.

At present we have around 25 Student Reps from our universities based in DKV and DIAC. The initiative began in 2009 for students to come together from various universities and represent DIAC as well as their universities.
