This year, for the first time, we are launching a Winter Week of Welcome to innaugurate new students who choose to join at the beginning of the year.
The Week of Welcome (WOW) is one of the most eagerly awaited signature events of the year. This year, the Winter Week of Welcome it will be held during February 22nd to 23rd , 2012. WOW is an orientation event held for new and existing students that comprises a formal orientation of services and facilities on campus along with exciting activities such as desert safaris, movie nights and gala dinners.
Our main objectives for WOW are:
- To act as an ice-breaker for new students
- To create a student community feel
- To allow students from different universities to meet each other and mingle
- To provide extra-curricular activities in order to complement the academic function of universities on campus.
Some of the other events listed are as per below:
Graffiti Art, DIAC Dubai Autodrome, DIAC's got talent, DIAC Bands Fusion, Soccer meets Art, Anti texting and driving Campaign, Harry Potter Movie Marathon, Beat the Heat and many others.
