The forum organized by S P Jain School of Global Management Dubai Campus was meant to initiate a crucial discussion with the industry practitioners in order to fill the market gaps and contribute to the education of the future leaders of the disruptive internet generation.

Commenting on the outcome of the forum, Ahmed Gowda Digital Expert from ASUS Middle East said: “In the Era of digital distribution, SP Jain School of Global Management took the initiative to gather the finest professionals in the community to discuss the digital disruption in the Middle East. What made this event different is the diversity of the audience and most importantly the panelists who came from a startup, corporate, media and agency backgrounds, which led to overseeing the digital disruption from very diverse perspectives. This gave the audience the true understanding of digital disruption on all aspects of the business. I believe that the digital disruption is connecting our business assets to each other and to the internet, to be able to capture audiences’ data and to analyze it ahead of time and predict trends and customer needs, and to be able to make predictive decisions because It’s not the strongest or the most intelligent business that will survive, it’s the most adaptable to change. Thus the imperative for organizations to change to digital mode now is a must.

According to Prof. Christopher Abraham, “Digital is not the future, but the present and organizations that adapt to this transformation will not only survive but thrive in a VUCA World, filled with volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.”

The first edition of the conclave “Era of Digital Disruption-Transforming Middle East” has generated more than 1 million twitter impressions and an increased interest from a diverse audience covering UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, and out of the region countries such as UK, Germany, and Italy showing the interest of professionals across different regions in joining the digital development efforts of the UAE and the region.
