In the past three months, BUiD campus was such a lively and intellectually stimulating atmosphere as it was bustling with students going through their Viva as well as many distinguished professors who have been visiting the campus as external examiners; The Viva is a Latin word which means oral examination. The Doctoral thesis oral examination is normally done by two examiners or more behind closed doors, with at least one external examiner from another institution who is typically an expert in the topic of research.
BUiD offers Viva training for its PhD students preparing to defend their theses. The training aims to help the students to understand the importance of the Viva’s elements and process by introducing them to the necessary steps needed to succeed.
