Manchester Business School Middle East Centre (MBS) and the British Centres for Business (BCB) have signed a partnership agreement through which they will collaborate to provide support for BCB clients, MBS students and to benefit the wider business community in the UAE. Joe Hepworth, CEO of the British Centres for Business, and Randa Bessiso, Middle East Director, Manchester Business School Centre, signed the agreement in Dubai, recently.

The BCB is a business-to-business professional services company established to provide operational support and market entry services in the UAE to British companies; its shareholders are the British Business Groups in Abu Dhabi and Dubai & Northern Emirates. Established in 2006, MBS Middle East Centre is the largest and fastest growing regionalcentre in the MBS international network, supporting more than 1,900 part-time MBA students (all experienced working professionals in mid-senior roles) in the region, and working with a number of multinational clients, supported by a range of collaborations with industry professional bodies.

Commenting on the new agreement, Ms. Randa Bessiso, Middle East Director of Manchester Business School, said: “This partnership with the British Centres for Business has a lot of potential to provide support to British businesses entering and building a presence in the UAE but also to enrich the business community as a whole. As a leading business school in the Middle East with a physical presence in the UAE, we are keen to use our experience and expertise to help UK businesses through networking with our students and clients, access to a pool of talent and educational opportunities, as well as consultancy and services including research. Manchester Business School and the BCB share a very practical approach to business and we believe this shared approach will support business success.”

The BCB’s clients benefit from a range of business services and assistance to help them get started in the UAE, by enabling UK firms to quickly and cost-effectively set up, and then helping each company identify and meet key business contacts. The company is already working with a number of best-in-class providers to deliver quality, tangible benefits to client companies as theyexpand their businesses in the Middle East.

Mr. Joe Hepworth, CEO, British Centres for Business, added: “The BCB’s mandate is to help British companies expand and export into the UAE and by partnering with Manchester Business School, we are joining up with one of the great UK export success stories in the region. I am really excited about the opportunities this will create and the value, intelligence and networks that the BCB’s clients stand to benefit from through our links with MBS.”
