The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and offers accredited programs by the CAA.  AUE is dedicated to be one of the leading liberal higher educational institutions, providing an integrated pathway for students to become creative and productive members of the UAE and the regional communities. The University is committed to offer quality, multidisciplinary, and career-oriented academic degree programs. The programs offered aims at equipping students with knowledge and professional experiences and skills to meet the job market requirements at local, regional, and global level.

AUE is organized into 7 Colleges.  These includes College of Business Administration, College of Computer Information Technology, College of Fine Arts and Design, College of Media and Mass Communication, College of Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences, and College of Health Sciences

Currently AUE Colleges are offering various two year Associate Degrees and planning to offer both Bachelor and Master Degree Programs within a short period in the following specializations:

In Business Administration: Real Estate Management, Banking and Financial Markets, General Business Management, Human Resource Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Accounting and Finance, Hospitality Management, E-Commerce and Marketing, Health and Hospital Management, and Insurance and Risk Management.

In Computer Information Technology: Database and MIS, Digital Forensics, Network Administration & Security, Software and Web Development.

In Fine Arts and Design: Digital Animation, Digital Imaging, Graphics Design, Interior Design, and Fashion Design.

In Media and Mass Communication: Public Relations, International Relations, Journalism, Radio & Television, and Diplomacy.

In Engineering: Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Computer and Communication Engineering, and Urban Planning.

In Arts and Sciences: Education Leadership, Education Administration, Law, and Library & Information Science.
