Head of DIAC Student Hub Dubai International Academic City
Salma Rizwi heads the Student Hub department which is the official representative of the student body of 27 universities within DIAC. Her challenging role oversees key initiatives that aid in developing and improving the quality of student lifestyle in DIAC. Her versatile professional background ranges from Management, Education, Media, Hospitality and Customer Service.
A founding member of TECOM Investments who witnessed the ground breaking ceremonies, prior to the official launches in 2000 of Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and the later formation of TECOM Investments. Salma is currently part of the TECOM Partner Development Committee and plays a key role in the implementation of value added projects which nurtures the growth of companies operating within TECOM.
Her former positions within the Education cluster of TECOM Investments included Partner Relations and Partner Development Manager of DKV and DIAC. Her roles oversaw her impart her knowledge, skills and best practices to the local community and business executives, whilst nurturing the future by tapping into the development of students and teachers.
Salma maintains an established track record of conceptualising, designing, implementing management initiatives and business processes. Some key achievements include her successful contribution to the inaugural of Dubai Strategy Forum, TECOM Investments award for ISO 9001:2000, Ibdaa Media Student Awards and DIFF. She had also successfully launched the TECOM loyalty program and publications, ’Passport to a World of Hospitality’ and ‘Dining in the Zone’.
