Dubai International Academic City was launched in April, 2007 in response to the tremendous growth witnessed by Universities in the Dubai Knowledge Village campus.
DIAC was set up on an 18 million sq. ft campus in order to create a-self contained and vibrant environment catering exclusively to the needs of the academic community. The campus was developed to accommodate the needs of many academic partners to expand their campuses, due to the growth of the education sector and influx of students in Dubai.
From humble beginnings in 2007 with 10 universities and 2,500 students, experiencing growth into 2010 with 27 regional and international universities and nearly 20,000 students, it can be seen that DIAC has catered to the needs of the region.
